Alta had a clear vision from day one, to showcase the Adelaide Hills as Australia's premiere cool climate wine region. Emphasis was placed on a careful selection of site, grape variety and controlled yields of the highest quality hand picked fruit. Alta were adamant that the Adelaide Hills would make marvelous Pinot Grigio and have now made sure there's no doubt about it. Alta is fashioned to vibrant cosmopolitan style, relying heavily on the varietal characters and naturally high acid levels in the grapes at harvest to provide aromatics and structure.

The north Italian style of Pinot Grigio winemaking, grapes are picked earlier and do not see any oak, an aromatic wine of profound fruit structure and vibrant zest. Fruit is crushed into fermenters, a complimentary strain of yeast is selected for its ability to highlight primary fruit flavours while enhancing palate structure. A long cool vinification achieves a pristine wine with great depth of flavour. In keeping with the true Pinot Grigio winemaking style, Alta is filtered until the final assemblage, completely unwooded and unoaked.
 
Vibrant pale yellow hue. Highly aromatic with spring blossom and fresh corella pear fragrances, spiced grapefruit and citrus blossom. A tightly structured palate expressing an excellent purity of fruit. Rich lemon and spiced pear flavours concentrate through the mid palate and linger through to a dry savoury finish. Exhibits great structure and will suit everything from white meats to Al fresco.

A vital expression of Sauvignon Blanc grown to high altitude vineyards from Kuitpo through to Kersbrook. Alta captures the wondrous cool climate charm of Adelaide Hills, an area so very renowned for stylish white wine. Alta initially debuted onto the market with the aim of producing the single best effort possible, exclusively Sauvignon Blanc. Individual parcels are chosen for their strong varietal intensity and regional eloquence, each contributes its own character to the finished wine. Made to drink now, generous with fruit flavours and crisp palate structure.

Sauvignon Blanc is harvested throughout the cool of night, when flavours are most intense and the balance ideal, grapes are crushed with open rollers to minimise phenolic and colour extraction. The biggest challenge is to ensure that the fresh flavours and finesse of juices are retained throughout the winemaking. Several yeast strains are used based on their ability to highlight varietal flavours and enhance palate structure. Free run and pressings are vinified, some on skins, in a combination of fermenters and large 4000 litre French oak casks. Batches are racked on lees after the completion of ferment and stored cool prior to assemblage.
 
Pale, icy green hue. Fragrant citrus blossom, passionfruit and spicy guava. Instantly mouth filling with rich pear, fleshy lime and spicy lemongrass penetrating the mid palate. Crisp acid adds exuberance and persistence whilst providing balance and freshness. Alta offers the solid backbone of fruit character to accompany bolder flavours, goujons almandine, chillied muscles or thyme and garilc chicken.

Regular vineyard assessments leading up to harvest ensure that Shiraz is harvested when the flavours are at their optimal intensity. Fruit is all hand picked and treated to ten days of cold soak, a parcel is included as whole bunches. A course of daily hand plunges in a small, open fermenter release the tannins and infuse flavour. Upon completion, the ferments are filled to a well seasoned, larger format, four tonnes oak cask for a judicious term of maturation.
 
Deep purple. Vibrant rose petal and white pepper perfumes, earthyness and cacao. Supple tannins in support of a seamless palate, a sensory adventure of fresh raspberry fruit characters, the savouryness of black pepper, chocolate chips and mint, a balance of freshness and acidity, persistence, elegance and sound structure through to the finish.

Hand picked Pinot Noir clone MV6, an earlier ripener with softer tannins, from a single vineyard on the northeast Adelaide Hills. Fruit is treated to a cold soak, gently drawing colour from skins, pressed and vinified to choice yeasts infusing wonderful aromatics, texture and mouthfeel. One part of the ferments are drained into French oak for completion, malolactic and lees stirring. A gorgeous pink wine of expressive aromatics, mouth filling textures in support of an exquisite balance between complex fresh fruit flavours, juiciness and savoury, light tannin characters.

Today's Andrew Garrett fulfills the founder's faith in the future of Australian wine. Parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are sourced from premium vineyards, selected by the winemaking team on the basis of consistency and good varietal expression. Grapes are crushed, inoculated to select strains of yeast, then left to jam on skins for a few days over the course of fermentation. The juices are then pressed and settled, followed by racking and maturation in a combination of new and prior use French and American oaks for twelve months. The separate components are then assessed for inclusion, assembled and stabilised before bottling. Approx 13.5%
 
Deep red colour. A bouquet that's evocative of plum, chocolate and cedary oak. On the palate the wine shows mouth-filling fruit, softness as well as strength and good complexity. Andrew Garrett is committed to extensive, long term viticultural development and environmentally sustainable winemaking in Australia. The fruitgrowers and winemakers manage the vineyards with care and devotion. An ensemble of physiologically ripe parcels of fruit were sourced from premium vineyards to compose this stylish wine. Grapes are selected from good vineyards earmarked for their propensity to yield fruit of generous flavour profiles and consistent quality. Fruit is crushed and the skins are removed to amplify the bright varietal characters. Established 1983 in McLaren Vale, the Andrew Garrett label has long been regarded as an honest and unpretentious marque that delivers excellent value wines, approachable and reliable from year to year. Following selection and the crush, Shiraz is inoculated and vinified in a combination of temperature controlled fermenters. The base wines are racked and aged before a regimen of trials to determine the assemblage. A secondary fermentation is induced in bottle to create the fine, textural mousse.

Angove operate some of Australia’s most efficient and sustainable vineyards, much of the estate sites are certified organic and the balance are in conversion. Long Row is sourced from premium vineyards, the Long Row range are made to be easy drinking, distinctly varietal wines which represent quality without peer. The extensive range means that there is a wine to suit every occasion or food pairing. Shiraz is picked at night to take advantage of cooler temperatures. Grapes are crushed into modern rotary fermenters and treated to two days of maceration. Upon completion of ferments, batches are pressed off skins for a course of malolactic, aged and bottled with minimal handling after a light filtration.
 
Deep red colour with purple hues. Ripe berry and plum fruit aromas, notes of spice and pepper dominate the nose. Apart from winning many accolades and awards, Nine Vines has become popular around the world. Mostly Grenache, the secret to it's allure, with about a third of Shiraz, harvested off the finest vineyards. Grapes are kept cool on the journey to the winery, where they are filled to vessels for cold settling. The individual parcels are separately crushed into rotary fermenters and cooled to 10°C. After twenty four hours on skins, batches are gently pressed, clarifiedand inoculated with yeasts which have been isolated for their capacity to enhance fruit characters. Juices are cool fermented until almost dry, leaving very little resisdual sugar. Components are then stabilised, clarified and assembled into the finished wine. Alcohol 12.5%
 
Brightly pink in colour. Vibrant raspberry, strawberry and cherry aromas combine with fresh fruit salad and lovely crispness on the palate. A dry finish lends the wine to a variety of foods. Annies Lane Chardonnay 2016
Clare Valley
Pure Clare Valley Chardonnay, some of it from blocks which can trace a heritage back to the original Quelltaler vineyards, the first Aussie wine ever formally served to the UK House of Commons! Annie's Lane recounts the legend of a local lass who operated a mobile canteen in Valley Clare, providing sandwiches and warm drinks to harvesters and pruners working in the vineyard. She is remembered today in the enduring traditions of a generously proportioned Chardonnay that's brimming with fresh stonefruit orchard flavours.

Annie's Lane cuts through one of Clare Valley's first vineyards. To this day, the Annie's Lane team retain some of the most distinguished sites and secure the best fruit. Harvests of Chardonnay are sourced which can weigh in with the smallest berries, which can show good colour and offer the biggest flavours. Thinning of the vines during the growing season achieves yields of intensely flavoured grapes. Parcels are harvested throughout the cool of night to capture and retain freshness. Individual components are separately vinified and matured on yeast lees to add textural richness. Select parcels are fermented and matured in seasoned French oak barrels, building mouthfeel and contributing complexity.
 
Pale straw with green hues. Aromas of peach and cinnamon develop into lively varietal flavours across the soft and full flavoured palate.
