Taittinger Brut Reserve N.V
Champagne Reims
Home to some of Champagne's finest Chardonnay vineyards, Taittinger uniquely blends a relatively higher proportion of 40% Chardonnay to the standard Cuvée. Taittinger Brut Réserve is an assemblage de cépages of forty ancient vineyards around the Champagne apellation, matured to perfection at the chais de Taittinger. Aged on the yeasty sediments to infuse the wine with the distinctive and inimitable Champagne characters, it is eventually topped up with the traditional liqueur doseage to impart the House's highly distinctive body and smoothness.

Taittinger's own Champagne vines cover 288 hectares in thirty four different vineyards. Varietals grown are Pinot Noir 136ha, Pinot Meunier 46ha and Chardonnay 105ha, reflecting the style of wines produced by the House in which Chardonnay plays such an essential role. Collectively only 27% of the vineyards of Champagne are planted with Chardonnay. Taittinger's own production is supplemented by the contractual acquisition of grapes from independent suppliers operating the finest vineyards in Champagne. The noble House of Taitinger is one of Champagne's most ancient and most esteemed. In proportion to it's size, Taittinger is one of the largest buyers in the Côte des Blancs, home to the finest Chardonnay vineyards.

A brilliant golden straw yellow. The bubbles are fine, the mousse visually discreet and persistent. The nose very expressive and open, is both fruity and bready. It exudes aromas of peach, white flowers, May blossom, acacia and vanilla pod. On the palate this lively fresh wine is refined and harmonious. This is a delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit, honey and light briochey overtones. A beautiful wine blessed with a well-developed aromaticness, it is aged for three to four years in the Taittinger cellars where it achieves perfect maturity.
Taittinger Comtes Blanc de Blancs 2000

Created to commemorate Thibaud IV Comte de Champagne, who planted the original Chardonnay vines in France circa 13th century. First vintaged in 1952, it is produced exclusively from the delicate first pressing of costly Chardonnay grapes grown to perfection within the ancient communes of the elite Côte des Blancs.

Taittinger is one of the last remaining family owned Champagne houses. In 1931, Pierre Taittinger purchased the historic Forest-Fourneaux, re establishing the ancient house as Champagne Taittinger. Revered by critics all over the world, Taittinger is the very definition of sophistication, elegance and finesse. This outstanding wine is only produced when the harvest is of exceptional quality. Vinified exclusively from white Chardonnay grapes grown to the most renowned Crus of the prestigious Cotes de Blancs. To guarantee the wine's finesse, only the first pressing is included. This exceptional Champagne is aged several years in bottle under the Maison cellars at Saint-Nicaise.

Pale straw colour with a fine, elegant bead. The nose presents fine aromas of toast and oak echoed by delicate notes of vanilla and brioche. A fresh and smooth palate of pink grapefruit and white peach follows with a long and refined, rich, toasty finish, lasting and complex. It's delicacy and generous fruitiness is matched by supreme ageing potential. This celebratory and ceremonial wine is the perfect accompaniment to seafood and shellfish.
