Mateus Rose
Regional
The pronounced ambassador of Portugal's premium Rosé, Mateus in its distinctive flask shaped bottle is one of the world's favourite wines. Exported globally and loved everywhere, Mateus is appreciated for its fresh, grapey taste. In it's youth it contains a slight sparkle that makes it delightfully refreshing as an aperitif as well as being an excellent accompaniment to many foods. Quite surprisingly for a Rose, there is a perfect tannic structure with hints of sweet wood and gentle curvy vine leafs. This sweet Rosé wine is particularly well balanced, fresh, frivolous and light.
