Chenin Blanc has been Coriole's flagship white since 1982, a pure varietal wine that couldn't be any fresher. Their efforts have been ranked within the top ten Chenin Blancs of the world at Rendez Vous du Chenin Competition in France, no mean feat for an Australian. The soils at Coriole are mostly Terra rossa, red brown earths over limestone. Another part of the vineyard is endowed with red earth ironstones, the oldest block, established in 1920 is planted to deep clays. The drier than normal summers put a greater importance on land management and careful fruit selection throughout the vineyards and all during the vinification process.

Pale lime/ straw hues. Citrus, fresh pear and green apple bouquet with hints of kiwifruit. The palate is lively and fresh with pear juice and peach characters. A delicious and well balanced white wine exhibiting aromatic fruit flavours before a crisp acid finish. Chenin Blanc suits a wide range of foods and can also be served as an aperitif wine. $2599each $311DOZEN EACH DOZEN From vines averaging nineteen years of age, planted to morenic terrains, rich in skeletal elements and well drained, trained to Guyot system trellis, on the eastern hills of Garda Lake, at altitudes of 200 to 250 metres above sea level, with a south to southwest exposure. Careful management of vineyards ensures a significant reduction in the impact of unfavourable climatic events, achieving the most well balanced wine. Pinot Grigio is hand harvested, grapes are gently pressed, the juices inoculated and vinified in controlled fermenters at moderate temperatures over the course of several days, followed by partial malolactic and spell of unoaked maturation to enhance the bright varietal Pinot Grigio characters.

While remaining true to their regional Italian roots, they are innovatively crafted with inclusions of expatriate varietal grapes to create wines of great interest. Harvests of Garganega and Chardonnay, are all hand picked off fully mature vines in their third decade, grown to volcanic calcareous soils and trained to the Pergola system, planted to southeast facing hillsides at 150-250 metres above sea level in D.O.C. Soave. Bunches are destemmed and gently crushed into fermenters for a day of cold settle maceration, vinified for up to ten days at a cool 15C, followed by partial malolactic in October and four months unwooded maturation.

Intense straw yellow hue, green highlights. Classic Verona nose, inviting and fresh, wild flowers and white peach characters, vibrant vegetable notes. Refreshing fruit within a supply structured, well rounded palate, juicy green vegetable characters and sliced pear flavours, before a cleansing, pleasingly dry finish.

Australian Test Cricketer Tony Rocket Mann planted Chenin Blanc vines along with his son in the 1990s. Persevering with the Mann family tradition of articulate and sensational wines meant adhering to the strictest principles of organic farming. The propitious Chenin Blanc grapes are wholly hand picked off Rocket's vineyar, whole bunch pressed and treated to a measure seasoned French oak barriques for several months before asssemblage. A beautiful expression of Chenin Blanc with a sense of place, lemon pith, blackcurrant leaf and fresh crunchy pear before a textural, vibrant saline finish.

Valley Clare is internationally renowned for Riesling, many of the region's finest vineyards are at Watervale. This distinguished hamlet has a population of only two hundred and fifty, a single shop and one garage, a pub and a school, a library, two churches and five distinguished wineries. Like many of the world's great wine growing appellations, Watervale has a name and global reach that belies its tiny size. Crabtree is an exquisitely balanced Riesling with an intensity of complex varietal characters, fine mineral acidity and lovely persistence of fruit.

$2499each $299DOZEN EACH DOZEN There is a conjunction of unique and distinctive soils at Watervale, loam on limestone or loam on shale, all well-draining and enhanced by a favourable climate, warmth, sunshine and cool nights. The Crabtree team have a long history and experience with Riesling, growing it in the vineyard and handling it in the winery. A key strategy to formulating this wine is to pick and ferment all the Riesling blocks separately. Thirteen individual ferments provide the team with intimate insights into each block's flavour profile and unique terroir characteristics. The best free run juices are identified and cold fermented to dry. The finest of these batches are set aside for inclusion into the final wine.
