Langmeil Bella Rouge Cabernet Rose
Barossa

Stylistically reminiscent of the Loire Valley's Cabernet d'Anjou, fashioned to be refreshingly tannic yet forward drinking, medium bodied and quenching. It is said that great wine starts in the vineyard. Through a close liaison with some of the Barossa's most distinguished winegrowing families, Langmeil's team assess how the growing season has affected fruit, to collate parcels of the highest order. By keeping components separate throughout the winemaking, consistency and quality can be ensured at every vintage. To maximise the good Barossa fruit, Langmeil harnesses the synergy of new and old world vinification techniques, capturing the essence of a fine Rosé in contemporary Aussie styling. Alcohol 12.0%

Candy apple red with pale pink hues. A pretty perfume of strawberry and raspberry fruit with hints of toffee apple and musk lollies. Generous with refreshing, sweet red fruits which mingle with bright, zesty acidity, flowing through to a lingering, crisp Granny Smith apple finish. The Rose of choice to accompany red fish cutlets, spicy vietnamese faire or a very classy, runny Brie.

Lightfoot Sons Myrtle Point Rose
Gippsland
Myrtle Point Vineyard was established in the 1990s, after a soil mapping of the region identified tracts of precious Terra rosa over limestone substrate. The fortuitous soils are enhanced by the temperate growing seasons to form a mesoclime, very like the splendid terroirs of La Belle France. Ferments through the action of Rose specific yeast, retain the precociousness of Pinot Noir, just picked from the vineyard, while infusing into the blushing pink wine, fruity fragrances and a redolent, ripe berry palate.

Fashioned to piquant de Provence styling, grapes are gently destemmed and crushed by gravity through the press, treated to four hours cold soak for just the right amount of pigment without any uptake of heavy tannin. Batches are coolly fermented through the action of a Rosé specific yeast strain, followed by early bottling to retain the fresh vibrancy of pink Pinot Noir. Alcohol 12.9%
