Rockbare Riesling
Clare Valley
Available by the dozen
The pick of Watervale fruit from a very special, hand selected site amongst the idyllic, rolling pastorals of Valley Clare. An intensely fragrant blend of freshly squeezed tahitian lime and blossom frangiapan over a subtle hint of wet stones, youthful and bright, fresh lime intense on the palate. A term of extended lees contact and four months stirring battonage introduces complexity, textural richness, crisp and dry, a beautiful line of grapefruit acidity to the finish.

Schild Estate Riesling
Barossa
Available by the dozen
The Schild Estate vineyards are spread out over several unique mesoclimes and soils around Lyndoch and across the southern districts of Barossa Valley. Ed Schild purchased Tweedies Gully vineyard in 1977, noting that the prime location with its westerly aspect, high altitude and sandy loam soils, would be perfect for growing extra fine Riesling. Schild encapsulates the generous style that is purely Barossa. Good acidity with lean, clean characteristics, exhibiting the tight structure and profound expression of fruit which have brought Schild so much renown.

The Schild name has a long history in the Barossa, dating back to 1952 when patriarch Ben Schild acquired his Three Springs Farm property at Rowland Flat. The unique tapestry of estate vineyards permits a wide range of varieties to be grown to their full potential and allows the team to craft wines that speak of honesty and drinkability. A combination of neutral yeast selection and fermentation in temperature controlled vessels maintains the aromatics and flavour depth of the fruit. Immediately after fermentation is complete, the wines are prepared for bottling. The whole process from vineyard to bottle is completed within six weeks to retain the freshest characteristics within the finished wine.

Clear bright colour with green hues. Lifted floral notes and enticing citrus aromas. Delicate florals on the front palate provide a generous depth of flavour. A well integrated citrus backbone on the back of the palate delivers freshness, clear direction and a nice taut structure. Well integrated and fine Riesling flavours throughout, before a fresh, crisp finish.
