Moderate yields and cool growing conditions result in wines with outstanding varietal intensity, elevated fruit spice and mineral complexity. Priority is given to assembling a rich cepage of clones grown to treasured sites along Tasmania's east coast, Coal River and Derwent Valley. Whole bunch pressing and a separate handling of each parcel right through to completion of ferments builds a wine of great complexity. Time spent in a high proportion of new French barrels infuses the wine with a judicous integration of oak.

Roughly equal proportions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with a smaller component of Pinot Meunier, are hand picked and whole bunch pressed, to ensure freshness and elegance of structure. After fining, the individual batches are vinified on light grape solids and treated to malolactic on primary ferment lees. Once clarified, the wines are assembled to style and prepared for tirage. Extended maturation on yeast lees builds additional complexity and depth of character, while the expedition liqueur and inclusion of aged reserve wines contributes to the overall depth and dimension of palate.

Crystal clear, persistent bead, light straw gold hue. A very complex wine exhibiting toast, lanolin and sea brine characters, honeycomb, yoghurt and oyster. The palate is finely structured, long, powerful and complex. Multiple layers of oyster shell, truffle and apricot brandy build in this intriguing wine. Bellingham Estate's Main Ridge vineyards are dry grown and planted to mature, low yielding vines, a wonderful accord of auspicious microclimes and exacting viticulture which creates the most intensely flavoured Mornington Pinot Noir. Hand picked grapes are treated to a cold maceration and wild yeast ferments in open fermenters, followed by a term of age in a mix of seasoned and new French oak barrels. A delicate Pinot Noir of ripe red cherry and freshly milled spice, layered with fine savoury fruit characters and supported by a weave of seamless, velvet tannins.
