SC Pannell Arido Rose
McLaren Vale

SC Pannell makes Rose like no other, it's not just about the mix of grapes, Mourvedre, Grenache Noir and Touriga Nacional, Arido brings the affable arcadian varietals into a seamless accord of perfectly pitched piquancy, languid tannin ripeness and ripe, juicy flesh. Grapes are gently pressed and fermented au sauvage for an opulence of sylvan character and charm. After thirty years of pioneer farming in the harsh South Australian Mallee, Ben Schild had a vision of settling down to a property which was better suited to viticulture. Schild purchased Three Springs Farm in the 1950s, a promising site which already included a block of productive vines. Hand harvested to exacting timetables and at optimum ripeness, batches of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Shiraz are picked off the heirloom Three Springs, Kleemans and Angus Brae vineyards at Lyndoch in Rowland Flat. Batches are pressed and treated to a traditional course of open fermentations, bottled early with minimal filtration but without any exposure to oak, achieving a wine that's complex and beguiling yet fresh.

Bright crimson purple. Intense spiced red cherry compote bouquet. Old vine Grenache fruit presents itself on the front palate with a juicy red berry intensity, Mourvèdre and Shiraz add blueberries, ripe lush tannins and a vibrant mineral structure. Hints of white pepper and spice over a soft tannin framework, followed by a long and supple, dynamic finish.

Seppeltsfield Centennial Collection Vintage 375ml
Barossa
In 1866, plans to build a new stone cellar were sanctioned by Seppeltsfield's founder John Seppelt. In 1878 the stone cellar was completed by his son Benno. To celebrate, in a gesture considered innovative and inspiring, Benno selected a puncheon of his finest wine and gave instructions that it was not to be bottled for a hundred years. This became a magnificent tradition and Seppeltsfield Wines are now the only winery in the world to have significant stocks of wine laid down over consecutive vintages for more than a century.

Para Grand Tawny is an assemblage of a number of exclusively Grenache, Shiraz (Syrah), Mourvedre (Mataro) wines from across many vintages, matured through the traditional Solera system. Component wines are aged individually in small oak casks to ensure only those components that had achieved the desired quality and style entered the final Cuvee. Through a careful selection and blending process at the Seppeltsfield wineworks, the resulting wine is treated to the Solera system for maturation. With ageing the wine has become complex, smooth and mellow. A pronounced rancio character is also evident, derived from the extended oak maturation.

Walnut brown colour. Deep mahogany in colour, with olive green tinges. A powerful bouquet displaying an excellent balance of rich fruit, nutty vanillin oak and a hint of chocolate. Further complexity is derived from the aged rancio character and fine brandy spirit, the epitome of the Para liqueur style. Full bodied, rich and luscious, with concentrated lingering flavours. Immensely satisfying, and flavourful, Parra can be served chilled, and is ideally suited to all good cheeses and dessert.
