Yalumba Samuels Collection Grenache Shiraz Mataro
Barossa
Available by the dozen
Few Australian winemakers have had as much experience with GSM as Yalumba. Their learned team are always very excited about this old world style. Parcels are collated from good Barossa vineyards, separately picked and vinified in small batches, before being aged in a selection of large and small oak vats, puncheons and barriques. All parts are encouraged to mellow and integrate, while creating texture and infusing complexity. Layered and supple, spiced red and black berry fruits are drizzled with moreish chocolateynerss, long and lingering on a finish of velvet textured tannins.

Yelland Papps Devote Greenock Shiraz
Barossa
Shiraz grapes are all picked by hand and vinified on skins in traditional open fermenters over the course of a fortnight, followed by a good old fashioned, gentle basket press into a selection of seasoned and new American and French oak hogsheads for twenty two months maturation and an unfiltered bottling. Rich, opulent fruit aromas of macerated plum, black berries and black cherry, raspberries, currant and strawberries and compote. A flourish of deep spice and dark chocolate, a splendid, lingering finish on a length of bright, crisp raspberry acidity.

Yelland Papps Second Take Grenache
Barossa
Yelland & Papps embarked upon their ventures of winemaking in the right way, purely for their own enjoyment and for the appreciation of family and friends. They remain dedicated to sustainable agriculture, to a holistic vineyard management and minimal intervention in the winemaking. Vines were established on the Yelland & Papps property in the 1980s, on sandy loam topsoils over light clays.

Yelland Papps Second Take Shiraz
Barossa
Many of the oldest and most precious Australian Shiraz vineyards can be found around the hamlet of Greenock, near the western ridge of Barossa Valley. Yelland & Papps are relative newcomers but they have already established an enviable reputation. They treat their land to traditional old world farming techniques. Yielding vintages of the finest wine is a priority but the quality of their fresh seasonal produce is also very good. An unctuous and mouthfilling Barossa Shiraz, seamlessly lined by velvet tannins which flow through the palate, elegant and intense.

Yelland Papps Vin de Soif Grenache Mataro Cinsault
Barossa
Available by the dozen
Without any formal qualifications in viticulture, Yelland Papps began making wine for family and friends, they soon realised that their destiny lay amongst the wonderful old vines of Barossa Valley. They also realized they held a passion for the future stars of the Barossa, varieties such as the pastoral Carignan, the proof is in a glass of Yelland & Papps Vin de Soif. Old vines Mouverdre and Grenache with the exciting addition of Carignan, very much new Barossa in an old world way. Redolent of soil, coffee and kirsch, jasmines and violet, supported by refined tannins and judicious oak.
