Seresin Estate are very close to the land and soils which grow their fruit. Adherance to principles of environmental sustainability means organically grown, hand tended grapes, raised on a cornerstone of working in harmony with nature. The Sauvignon Blanc is picked in the late evening and early morning, at the close of the long Wairau Valley summer, to ensure the fruit comes to the winery cool. Minimal intervention allows the layers of flavour to evolve, the grapes are quickly pressed to capture the personality of the locality. The juice is fermented at a lower temperature, again to retain these characters, then allowed time sitting on yeast lees to give greater palate depth and complexity.

Munamuna believe that anything worth having deserves protection. Were McCorkindale to reveal the secret location of his vineyards, the ensuing rush to acquire any limited quantities of fruit would force prices higher and put the exquisite wines of Munamuna out of reach for many. High security fencing in the heart of Marlborough, around the region's most splendid vineyards has spurred rumours for years, but rumours are rarely true. One unscrupulous operator who knew about the sites and tried to exploit the location was last seen on a small fishing boat talking on a satellite phone in one of the local inlets. What Munamuna can safely tell you is that their Sauvignon Blanc is from the finest vineyards in Marlborough.
