Trentham Two Thirds Semillon Sauvignon
Riverina
Available by the dozen
Forty percent less carbs and joules? Yes it's true! Two Thirds is a low alcohol, low carb dry wine, assembled from the two most popular and complimentery of all white grape varietals, Semillon with Sauvignon Blanc. Suitably mated for their mutual compatability, highly prized for their luscious fruit characters, enjoyed everywhere as the most appealing contemporary style of crisp and dry, exuberantly refreshing white wine.

A new wine by one of the Riverina's leading estates, it'll excite those who are venturing out for a lighter style with less alcohol. Through early harvest and skilled vinification, the award winning Trentham team have fashioned a luscious young white with only 8.5% alcohol, two thirds the strength of a normal wine. Grapes are harvested early in the vintage from vines which are specially trained, throughout the cool of early morning, at the precise juncture where sugar levels are low and flavour development has peaked. Grapes are crushed, chilled and gently pressed, the juices are settled and fermented to dry. Young, vivacious and completely unoaked, Two Thirds is bottled early to retain freshness. Alcohol 8.5%

Pale lemon hue. Two Thirds shows light lime and lemon aromas with fresh tropical flavours, quinces and grapefruit, vegetables and herb. It's rich with minerality and fills the palate with its weight of fruit, finishing satisfyingly dry and crisp. Juicy and revitalizingly fresh, ideal as an aperitif and unbeatable with avocado pasta or chicken caesar.

Trout Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Nelson River
Available by the dozen
Trout Valley wines are sourced and vinified by Kahurangi on the Upper Moutere, very near Nelson at the top northwest corner of New Zealand's South Island. The greater Nelson region is renowned for its vibrant arts scene and stylish, boutique winemakers, also home to some of the finest brown trout fishing water in the world. Trout Valley is a medium to full bodied white with a most welcome, savoury edge to it's fruit dominated structure. A treat of a Sauvignon Blanc with mouthfilling palate and complex aromas for adherents of contemplative and engaging wines.

Kahurangi means a treasured possession, precious jewel, pale greenstone and/or blue sky. Trout Valley wines are sourced from superior vineyards along the Nelson, each with their own characteristic style of fruit. Skillfully vinified and artfully finished, they ensure consistent quality from vintage to vintage. Fruit is harvested from vines on the Waimea Plains, planted to Moutere clay and free draining, stony alluvial soils. Sauvignon Blanc grown here achieves classic varietal flavours and bright, virile bouquets. Bunches are crushed, inoculated to choice yeasts and treated to a cool, temperature controlled vinification to preserve freshness and retain essential fruit characters.

Clear greenish hues. Herbaceous and tropical fruit aromas on the nose. Scents of lychee and grass congeal with currants, lemon and snow pea. The palate is dominated by gooseberry, grapefruit and citrus flavours over fine textures and mouthfeel. This distinctively Nelson influenced Sauvignon Blanc culminates in a clean and lingering, well balanced, satisfying finish.
