Louis Roederer is driven by a commitment to quality that takes precedence over quantity. Premiere Brut is dominated by the slightly larger component of Pinot Noir, finessed by the inclusion of the most superlative Chardonnay, enhanced by a tenth proportion of Pinot Meunier. Louis Roederer collates Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Valley de la Marne, with Chardonnay from the Cotes des Blanc. An assemblage of wines from a minimum of four different vintages, matured in bottle for a minimum of three years, Brut Premier includes up to 10% of Reserve wines - Cuvees from previous vintages stored for two to five years in large oak casks. Dosage 11-12 gms per litre.

Pale golden yellow in colour with a delicate persistent bead. Rich yet subtle bouquet of hawthorn, almonds and toast. The inclusion of reserve wines gives wonderful complexity and roundness to the fresh creamy palate. A perfect balance between the structure and fruitiness of the Pinot Noir and the finesse of the Chardonnay. Louis Roederer Brut Premier is a classic aperitif or celebratory Champagne. Serve chilled, and often, as the fullness and structure make it a superb accompaniment to all good foods.

The volume of Louis Roederer produced each year depends on a rigid set of qualitative criteria, and nature's willingness to comply. Every year at least two-thirds of the grapes must come from the estate's own vineyards, a strictly enforced policy. The number of bottles is therefore inevitably limited. Control of the quality of the grapes remains the key factor. Yields from each individual parcel, village or cru are always vinified separately, partly in small tanks partly in wooden vats. Minimal use of malolactic fermentation conserves the fruitiness and freshness of the wines. Meticulous care is taken to conserve the character of the individual wines whose distinctive characters will enrich the composition of the finished Cuvee.

Whilst the story of Moet Chandon dates back to the middle ages, it was not until an association with the Emperor Napoleon that Jean-Remy Moët became the most famous winemaker in the world, overwhelmed by international demand. To this day, spread out amongst a thousand hectares of the finest vineyards, Moet Chandon is the largest and most prestigious estate in Champagne, managing 200 of the 323 Crus of the region. The twenty eight kilometres of tranquil estate cellars are hewn out of the limestone stratas thirty metres directly below the historic estate Chateau at Epernay. Here the wines age slowly in naturally temperature controlled conditions within a network of galleries dating back to 1743.

Pale gold citrus hue, a fine effervescence. The epitome of subtlety, vinous without being green, buttery without being rich, tropically warm with a lime blossom attack. The palate is delicate and well balanced, creamy and rich, filling the tongue with highlights and leaving behind a sense of harmony, mellowness. Moët et Chandon is still today, and more than ever before, the symbol of pleasure, grandeur and pure celebration.

In 1446, Jean and Nicolas Moët were made nobles by King Charles VII, thus was born the famous dynasty that later was to give its name to the greatest chapter in the history of champagne. In 1743 one of the descendants of the Moët brothers Claude Moët, who had been a wine trader in Epernay since the early 18th century, founded the Maison Moët. His grandson, Jean Remy Moët, who was a visionary with a pioneering spirit, transformed this trading company into the world's leading luxury brand which, for over two and a half centuries now, has been the veritable embodiment, around the world, of the genius of Champagne.

Bright straw gold hues. Tropical fruits, sweet melon, buttery brioche and creamy dried red fruit essences, vital with soft spice and elegant citrus notes. Immensely satisfying palate, flavours of ripe stonefruits, toasted nuts, silky and sublime, this intriguing wine culminates in a glorious and unforgettable finish. Moët & Chandon is the embodiement of pleasure, grandeur and celebration.
