The eminent Ramos Pinto are part of the International Roederer Group. Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional are the uniquely Iberian grape varietals in Ramos Pinto Duas Quintas Classic. The Quinta de Ervamoira parcels are located at the heart of the Douro winegrowing region, planted to schist soils, and at very low altitude, in a hot and dry climate. At a slightly higher altitude, planted to more granitic soils are the Quinta dos Bons Ares vines, where the grapes mature in fresh, windy weather which contributes great vitality to the fruit. Duas Quintas is an assemblage of components from slightly differing terroirs and microclimates, creating a compex, fruit driven yet masculine red wine. Approx 13.5%

Dark ruby red colour. Bouquets are floral and exciting, intense and fruity, characters of strawberry and blackberry with hints of toasty vanilla. Rich and concentrated palate showing plum, leather and spice, with intense coffee/ espresso notes. A spicey, torrid, delicious red with very deep and powerful fruit, the finish is decidedly tannic, long and velvety. Breathing before service unlocks wonderful expressions. Have it with your favourite faire, but Ramos Pinto is wonderfully suited to meat and game dishes, especially those with garlic.
