Since the genesis of interest in Western Australia as a world class winegrowing region, Moondah Brook has led the way with distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon, representing some of the best value to come out of the West. Moondah Brook know how to bring out the flavour and intensity of fruit by virtue of the most rigorous viticulture, together with highly developed skills at vinification, making it the perfect food wine. Known for its contemporary range of popular varietal wines, Moondah Brook can be relied upon year in and year out for the very best Cabernet Sauvignon. Western Australia offers outstanding growing conditions for the Bordelais varietals and Moondah Brook have been at the cutting edge of Cabernet viticulture for decades. Grapes are sourced from the finest vineyards grown mostly to laterite gravel and sandy clay soils. Following primary fermentation Moondah Brook is treated to malolactic followed by up to eighteen months maturation in a combination of new and prior use French and American oak barriques, where the wine develops suppleness and complexity to support the intensely rich fruit.
 
Deep garnet in colour with crimson hues. A powerful bouquet, redolent Cabernet fruit aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry leaf and red bell peppers, together with an array of spices including sage and bay leaf. A fruit driven wine with subtle vanillin oak spice and underlying earth and tobacco characters. The palate shows elegant structure, with great intensity of varietal characters, the texture is plush with great fruit sweetness. Soft, delicate tannins add finesse and great length. Pair it off with a roasted beef, venison or duck.

Pale straw, highlighted by soft golden hues. A rich array of fresh pineapple, citrus and passionfruit aromas provide an intense and vibrant bouquet. A medium bodied palate displays exquisite fruit intensity and freshness. Soft creamy textures are balanced by fine lemon acidity which carry the fruit characters. This wine can be cellared with confidence for up to five years to obtain further complexity.

For three decades, Moondah Brook has led the way with distinctive varietal wines offering some of the best value out of the West. Moondah Brook Classic Dry White is a wine that shows all the hallmarks and complexity of a fine Western Australian blend. Chardonnay gives the wine white peach and melon fruit flavours, and is balanced with soft, herbaceous, lemon and gooseberry characters from the Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is great with most seafood, in particular Malay fish curry, blue swimmer crab and Asian stir fry dishes.

Moondah Brook is a contemporary range of varietal wines sourced from premium Western Australian vineyards. As a true expression of each variety, Moondah Brook wines are fruit driven with a spicy, full-flavoured style. The Semillon gives clean, fresh, generous flavours and a soft crisp acid finish. Like all Moondah Brook wines the Classic Dry is crafted to accompany food and to be enjoyed with friends. Alcohol 12.9% Acidity 6.59 g/litre Sugar 5%7 grams/litre pH 3.22.
 
Bright and vibrant, this wine is light straw in colour with green highlights. The bouquet shows refreshing aromas of melon, with hints of crisp lemon, gooseberry and attractive oriental spices. Rich complexities and undertones are brought together by a skillful blending of the 3 varietals, culminating in a hearty, pleasing dry flavour and finish that satisfies. A soft, full palate with hints of fruits is highlighted by flavours of five spice, while the mid palate is smooth and mouthfilling with a gentle acid finish.

Great depth of colour with youthful purple hues. The bouquet demonstrates true merlot characteristics of red cherry, mulberry and tealeaf, framed by oak spices of cinnamon and vanilla. A rich supple palate of red cherry and plums supported by firm tannins and subtle cedary oak. A wine of good balance with intensity of varietal fruit. The wine's fruitfulness and complexity is to be enjoyed now or will further develop with cellaring over the next 5 - 7 years.

Sourced from 5-30 year old vines the Moondah Brook Shiraz was matured for 16 months in a combination of French and American oak. The cellaring on this one is complete; it is perfect now. .
 
Great depth of colour with youthful purple hues. Vibrant nose of lifted sweet berry fruit, spice, cloves and cracked black pepper supported by toasted sweet vanillin oak complexity. Fresh intense varietal fruit characters with underlying plummy notes. Youthful fruit structure, fine tannins and a soft sweet fruit core. Flavours of chocolate, aniseed and black fruits lingering for a long fresh finish. A wine of good balance and intensity of varietal fruit.

Moondah Brook can boast an unbroken succession of superb vintages ever since inaugural release, and can lay claim to consistently delivering one of Australia's most popular Verdelho wines. This unique grape was originally planted on the Moondah Brook property near Gin Gin in the 1960s from much earlier cuttings along the Swan Valley where Verdelho thrives in the warm and sunny climes. Every year, Moondah Brook just gets better, and no discerning white wine enthusiast's chiller should be without a bottle or two of Moondah Brook's invigorating Verdelho.

The original Moondah Brook Estate was established in 1968, a 92 hectare property located at Gingin, north of Perth

The vineyard was established because of its unique climate. Sea breezes in the afternoon and gully winds of an evening assist with the reduction in temperatures at ripening time, allowing the wines to display great varietal character.

Moondah Brook unwooded Chardonnay varietal wine, offers a lively and vibrant alternative to the oaked style while the Rose Cabernet is vibrant and alive with raspberry and lavender. The newest addition to the range is a varietal Merlot from Western Australia.

Moondah Brook's Rob Bowen is one of Australia's more experienced winemakers with more than 30 years in the industry both as a winemaker and consultant. He has worked for some of WA's best-known wineries including Plantagenet Wines, Capel Vale Wines and most recently, Willow Bridge Estate.

Rob also assists in driving the quality and evolution of the well-known Australian icon brands of Houghton, Jack Mann, Moondah Brook and Crofters.
