Sauvignon Blanc is crushed and de stemmed, Semillon is de stemmed and pressed, a portion as whole bunches. Components of Semillon are barrel fermented in seasoned French oak while treated to a course of lees stirring battonage. The balance of Semillon Sauvignon Blanc are vinfied for two months at low temperatures in fermenters to maximise the retention of fresh varietal flavours. The barrel ferments are matured on sedimentery lees, to impart additional texture and richness.

Lemon green hue. Lifted aromas of citrus and melon, delicately interwoven with subtle herbaceous notes. The palate is fresh and lively, ripe tropical fruit flavours, zesty lime and a soft creamy lemon curd finish. The time spent by Semillon on lees has rounded the palate, adding an extra dimension to the wine. 5th Generation is best enjoyed young, the perfect match to crustacea and fresh fishes.

Separate batches are transferred to fermenters, in some years a portion may be vinified under new French oak. Ferments are carried out at low temperatures to retain freshness. The vineyard has a steep north to east facing slope, and the vines here grow vigorously, flowering generously and in general setting healthy crops. At 550 metres, Lenswood enjoys higher rainfall and humidity at the right time of year, cooler temperatures to retain high natural acidity and still enough sunshine to fully ripen grapes. Fermented in tank and bottled post vintage, unaged and unoaked to preserve the wine's superior fruit characters. Lenswood Coralinga captures the exotic aromatic qualities of Sauvignon Blanc grown to an exceptional Adelaide Hills site.

Cyril Henschke purchased the property from Kenneth Crossman Thyer in 1966, and established a large planting of riesling at a time when Riesling was scarce and bonuses were being paid by the large wineries. The vineyard is effectively dry grown, although the soil moisture is monitored and in drier years drip irrigation is used to keep the vines physiologically active. The closely husbanded vines are planted to a northerly aspect on well drained deep sandy loam and silts. Eleanor is treated to a brisk vinification and bottled promptly after vintage, young and unoaked, to retain vital fruit character.

Vibrant pale straw with lime hues. Lifted, fragrant aromas of citrus, cumquats and kaffir lime with richer notes of ripe stonefruits, custard apple and white currant. Layered and focused, the palate shows generous ripe citrus, green apple and nectarine flavours, with a beautiful line of minerality balanced with fine acidity, leading to a long, crisp finish.

Two of Australia's most significant historical identities laid the foundations for Jamiesons Run. First was prime minister Alfred Deakin with the assistance of irrigation experts William and George Chaffey, second was Coonawarra patriarch John Riddoch.
