When Maurice O'Shea bought the Rosehill property with the support of the McWilliam family in 1946, he was looking for a similar site to that of Mt Pleasant. What he found was a parcel of rich, volcanic loam, idyllic soils which he planted to quality rootstock. Rosehill endures as an articulate and engaging expression of the Hunter Valley style. A beautifully structured Shiraz, showing excellent fruit to oak balance, fine tannins and a persistent, savoury finish, a timeless confirmation that O'Shea got his site selection pretty right.

$4699each $563DOZEN EACH DOZEN Rosehill Shiraz can boast a succession of memorable vintages which have claimed multiple trophiess and gold. Grapes are picked off mature vines on the thirty hectare Rosehill Vineyard at one of Pokolbin's highest elevations, berries are gently destemmed without crushing, musts are held for two days cold soak prior to inoculation. Vinification begins at cooler temperatures in headed down fermenters, pumped over twice daily, skins are eventually submerged and temperatures allowed to gradually warm over the course of a fortnight. Upon completion, batches are pressed and transferred to a selection of seasoned and new, French and Hungarian oak barrels for twenty two months maturation.

Dense crimson with brick red hues. Rich in plummy fruit aromas, hints of leather and spice. Elegantly perfumed sweet lifted ripe raspberry notes over spicy dark chocolate oak, complimented by earthyness and nut. A savoury palate dominated by red berry fruit and mocha oak flavours. The tongue is enlivened by sweet cherries and black fruits which lead into complex, integrated plum and cedar characters.

Diversity of terroirs and clonal material achieves a complex and complete wine with great fruit character and depth of flavour. The backbone of grapes comes from vines planted to stony unfertile blocks, perfect for the production of intensely flavoured Pinot Noir. A spectrum of clones is included, UCD 5 and 6, 10/5 and Dijon clones 115, 118, 375 and 777. Bunches are cold soaked, fermented in small individual batches on skins and treated to several months maturation in a selection of fine French oak barriques. Alcohol 13.0%

Mid red colour, garnet/ ruby hues. Dark cherry and red berry fruit aromas are supported by hints of spice and earthiness. An approachable, elegant wine with soft tannins, delicious ripe red fruit flavours and concentration. Drinking well upon release, alongside salmon steak, escalope of veal or nicely dressed duck.

$1599each $191DOZEN EACH DOZEN Harvests of the finest Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc are treated to the most exacting regimens, a final quality control is applied at the blending stage to ensure that only the finest parcels are bottled under the Mount Riley label. A collation of several vineyards is assembled from the better viticultural precincts of Marlborough, the majority sourced from within Wairau Valley provides the distinctive Mount Riley style, a further component from Awatere Valley adds structure and complexity. Grapes are crushed and destemmed prior to pressing. Vinification is initiated in temperature controlled fermenters through the introduction of Mount Riley cultures, to preserve the lifted aromatics of Marlborough fruit. Alcohol 13.0%

Light yellow straw hue. The bouquet is powerfully aromatic with layers of tropical fruits, capsicum and racy gooseberries. Pungent capsicum, grapefruit and stonefruit aromas are complimented by clean cut grass and mineral notes. The palate is invitingly fresh with citrus, overlaid mineral characters, beautifully balanced with ripe fruit flavours and a subtle acidity. Enjoy as aperitif or match to seafood and light meats.

Mt Difficulty were established in just the right way, when Bannockburn's most dedicated growers formed a commune to make Central Otago's finest wines. Riesling is sourced predominantly from Templars Hill vineyard, hand picked and fermented to dryness through the action of indigenous yeasts on full solids, rested unstirred on gross yeast lees for eleven months to build exceptional palate weight. Ripe citrus bouquet, peach blossom and linear grapefruit palate, a lovely line and drive, a pithy phenolic structure, works in harmony with the acidity to frame the finish beautifully.

Mt Difficulty are sourced from resplendent sites at Bannockburn, south of the Kawarau River, under the close scrutiny of a highly accomplished viticultural team. An assemblage of fruit from a number of estate vineyards, Long Gully and Templars Hill, Ferris and Bannockburn Bay, Swansong and Pipeclay Terrace. A stunning nose of white peach, blossoms and bosc pear, luscious fruits to the palate, creamy and full of more ish flavour, gossamer textured and defined. Enriched by lees texture, reined in by lithe acid tang, a rich, minerally, stone fruit driven finish.

$3199each $383DOZEN EACH DOZEN Grapes are hand harvested in top condition and processed in a reductive manner, the juices settled overnight and racked slightly cloudy the following morning. A cool fermentation maximizes varietal charm. All components remain five months on gross yeast lees whilst being treated to a weekly stirring, enhancing the complexity and textural aspects of the final wine.

By virtue of their prolific range of single vineyard editions, assembling parcels with the greatest synergy are central to the production of a Mt Difficulty in perfect balance. Fruit is sourced from the south side of Kawarau River at Bannockburn, where different clonal parcels on the same block, which can ripen together, are handled as a unique individual parcel. Exhibiting an amazing weight of fruit on the palate, a powerfully structured Otago Pinot, fleshy and plushly textured, finishing with a lovely extraction of velvet tannin and perfumed cherry plum richness.

Auspiciously centred around the felicitious township of Bannockburn, an area of terrestrial and climactic extremes, Mt Difficulty are a co operatrive of Central Otago's most distinguished growers. Assembled from a compilation of parcels Sauvignon Blanc, picked off the Templars Hill, Mansons Farm and Saffron vineyards, a tenth of the wine is treated to ferments in pre loved oak barrels for a touch of Fumé Blanc. Redolent of lime, quince and pungent hay, four months weekly stirring on gross lees has added serious palate weight while infusing optimal varietal richness.

Long Gully Vineyard is perched atop the banks of Kawarau River, one of the oldest sites in Bannockburn. A mix of destemmed grapes and whole bunches are treated to days of maceration followed by a week of warm temperature ferments. Batches are punched down for a week, pressed and racked to barrel for malolactic and sixteen months maturation. Dark cherryness and earthy, savoury brown spice over a background of mocha oak. Long Gully Pinot Noir is hand crafted in very limited quantities and only ever released from the finest vintages.
