Bowmore Islay 18 Years Malt Whisky 700ml
Paul Pacult, one of the world's most knowledgeable spirits experts has described Bowmore as being in the top echelon of Scotland's whisky operations. Bowmore Distillery is one of an ever decreasing handful of distilleries to produce its own floor malted barley. The barley is still laboriously hand turned, by the Maltman, using the traditional wooden malt shovel. The maltings at Bowmore Distillery are very much alive and part of the production process and for visitors to the distillery, seeing a working maltings floor is a rare and special sight.

Established in 1779 by local merchant David Simson, Bowmore was acquired by James Mutter and his family. Mutter, a farmer and distiller, had the unlikely role of Ottoman, Portuguese and Brazilian Vice-Consul in Glasgow. James Mutter considerably expanded the distillery and as the Bowmore name began to travel, demand grew. The family kept the distillery until 1887 when it was sold to John Sherriff of Campbeltown and became the Bowmore Distillery Company. In 1963 the distillery was acquired by Stanley P. Morrison. Although Morrison substantially rebuilt and renovated much of the distillery he retained the original floor maltings and traditional whisky production methods which are still in use to this day

The colour of mellow mahogany. A nose of creamy caramel, toffee, ripe fruit and smoke characters. Incredibly complex palate, beautiful soft fruit with chocolate balanced by a light smokiness
Bowmore Small Batch Islay Malt 700ml
Bowmore Distillery, one of the oldest in Scotland has stood on the shores of Loch Indaal, on the Hebridean Island of Islay, since 1779. Its close proximity to the sea is vital in determining the final character of Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, as is the strict adherence to the traditional production methods handed down to Morrison Bowmore Distillers Ltd in 1963. Bowmore is produced using water from the Laggan River from where it gathers the flavours of the rich Islay Peat, the same Peat that fires the Malt drying kiln.

The famous Bowmore Vaults are where Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky spends nearly all of its life resting quietly in the damp cellars below sea level - the Spanish and American Oak Casks into which it is filled, imparting rich and mellow flavours to the maturing whisky. A light gold in colour, The Legend exudes a nose of peat smoke with hints of fresh sea air. The palate is bold and zesty, with characters of lemon, smoke and a touch of honey

Bunnahabhain 25 Years Islay Malt 700ml
Although all of seven Islay distilleries produce very different Malts, they do have similar machinery. Part of life on an island is a reliance on your neighbour. This is why at each of the distilleries, you will find sheds filled with some very old parts. These are often rusted or broken but you never know when an old spring or cog can be reused in an emergency. Bunnahabhain XXV is an non chill filtered spirit, with natural colour and a higher strength of 46.3%, delivered in an Alder wooden chest lined with Hessian and closed with solid brass fittings.

Bunnahabhain are extremely picky in the selection of their oak barrels. They are individually inspected upon arrival to the distillery, if a cask is anything other than perfect, it will not be used for filling and will be dismantled.

Amber gold colour. A sherried nose at first, that introduces a stunning sweet caramel dessert aroma, beautifully entwined with subtle suggestions of oak and polished leather. The indulgence of sweet berries and cream ensures a wonderful mélange of tastes that progress into a roasted nut and malt feast. The finish is soft and dry with a delicate dispersal of sugar and spiced oak flavours lingering on the tongue.

Caol Ila 15 Years Unpeated Islay Malt 700ml
The ancient peat bogs on Isle of Islay make its local Malts highly unique, pungent, piquant and layered with character, they hold a very special place in the pantheon of esoteric, international luxury liquors. Caol Ila are one of Islay's lighter, finer Malts, less reliant on the visceral smokeyness of the island's precious peats, more so on the manifold richness of evolved and effusive barley sugar complexity. Fifteen years in oak without a hint of fumy peatyness, its apricot florals and chewy pectins are underpinned by briny breezes of prevailing maritime savouryness.

Caol Ila 25 Years Islay Malt 700ml
Isle of Islay is not dissimilar in shape to the British Isles itself, Caol Ila Distillery is at the very northeast, just where you'd exect to find Aberdeen on a UK map. Established 1846, Caol Ila had its share of the legendary closures and takeovers which are an intriguing part of Highland Whisky folklore. Rebuilt in the 1970s to modern standards, it is now an essential inclusion to the great marques of Black Bottle and Johnnie Walker. Malted and distilled without any exposure to the island's precious, pungently smoked peats, a fruity, mealy style of lingering, engaging intricacy.

Caol Ila Distillers Edition Islay Malt 700ml
One of the principal Malts assembled into the flagship Johnnie Walker Blended Whiskies. Established 1846 near the Islay port of Askaig, Caol Ila Distillery overlooks the scenic straits between the Isles of Islay and Jura. The site was chosen for its proximity to the waters of Loch Nam Ban, which are drawn through a course of limestone and peat. One of the lighter and more elegant Islay Malts, Caol Ila features ocean wind characters and refined peaty notes in support of dainty florals and fragrant spice.
